Dust, Storm, and Rain wreaks havoc in North India

A powerful dust storm in Rajasthan, thunderstorm in Uttar Pradesh, and heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand has wreaked havoc in the northern states of India. 42 people have died in UP, 27 in Rajasthan, and 2 in Uttarakhand, hundreds have been injured and officials fear the death toll could rise.

The dust storm in Rajasthan uprooted many trees and electric poles. It is being reported that many people who died were sleeping in their homes when their roofs collapsed owing to the storm. Uttarakhand was hit by a sudden bout of heavy rainfall, obstructing highways and pilgrims.
