Visit Nepal 2020 is only a year and a half away and much work is needed to be completed before we welcome 20 million tourists in the proposed ‘Visit Nepal’ year. Nepal’s sole international airport Tribhuvan International Airport faces severe air traffic congestion, it needs to be eased. One airport is not sufficient and it is highly essential Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairawaha be completed. Major reconstruction works in and outside the valley’s heritage sites need to be expedited. Ongoing road expansion, drainage expansion, and Melamchi Water Supply need to be completed to alleviate pollution, traffic chaos, and consequently put a positive impression of the capital in the minds of the visitors.
