Foreign Minister Gyawali and US Secretary of State Pompeo commit to strengthen U.S – Nepal ties

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and U.S Secretary of State Michael Pompeo met in Washington on Tuesday. In the brief meeting they discussed ways of cooperation between the two nations, it is being said.

In a press release by the MoFA, the two countries agreed to take the seven decade long relationship between the two nations to newer and stronger heights. They discussed ways of promoting economic cooperation between the two nations, with particular focus on trade, investment, and development. The two nations have promised to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two nations.

According to the release, Minister Gyawali is leading a Nepali delegation to participate in a bilateral meeting, and will be meeting several other leaders in the sidelines.
