Nepal’s Women Cricket wins Indonesia

Nepal’s women cricket has secured its place in the final of the Thailand’s Women Twenty20 Smash by defeating Indonesia by 92 runs in their semi-final match held at Asia Institute of Technology Cricket ground, Bangkok, Thailand.

This is the biggest victory for Nepal. Since Nepal hasn’t reached final of any tournament after finishing second in the 2007 ACC Women’s Tournament where they lost to now a Test-nation Bangladesh.

Nepal batted first and set a target of 120 runs in its allotted 20 overs for the loss of three wickets.

Indonesia was no match for Nepal’s bowling as it faltered while chasing and was wrapped up for mere 27 runs in 11 overs.

Sita Rana Magar led the batting innings with 48 runs while Indu Burma supported with brisk 37 runs.

Nepal now has to face the winner of second semifinal match between UAE and Thailand,for the championship.
