Chasing a target of 125 runs, Nepal National Women’s Cricket Team have lost the second match of the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asian Region Qualifiers at Bangkok today against host team Thailand by 57 runs.
In the 20 overs game, Nepal could not play well since the beginning of the match and ended up with 67 runs with the loss of 8 wickets in a chase to the target set by the opponent losing 7 wickets.
Indu Barma had collected 29 runs and Sita Rana Magar made 18 runs for Nepal while Captain Rubina Chhetri was out after 3 runs. C Sutthiruang and N Chaiwai scored the highest runs, 35 and 32 runs respectively for Thailand.
Fielding first Kabita Kunwar and Neri Thapa took 2 wickets each while Karuna Bhandari and Rubina Chhetri took 1 wicket each.
Nepal will now play four games — against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on February 22, Hong Kong on February 24, China on February 25 and Kuwait on February 27.
