Nepal National women’s Cricket Team have reached to the third position in the list of the ICC women T20 world cup Asian Region Qualifiers being held in Bangkok, Thailand by defeating China by 5 runs today.
Nepal in its fifth game against China, batting first, had set a target of 78 runs with a 9 wicket loss in the allocated 20 overs. China ended up with only 72 runs losing 6 wickets in the allocated overs.
Zhang Mei scored the highest runs of 33 runs and Caiyun Zhou collected 18 runs for China.
Sita Rana Magar brought 11 runs for Nepal and Kajal Shrestha scored 18 runs while Apsara and Captain Rubina Chhetri collected only 3 and 5 runs, respectively for Nepal.
Sita Rana Magar took 3 wickets for Nepal.
With this win, Nepal now is in the third place with 8 points from five games in the ICC qualifiers.
