Police arrest NSU cadres for staging demonstration in restricted zone

President of Nepal Student Union (NSU) Nain Singh Mahar along with 10 cadres were arrested  by police for staging a demonstration in a prohibited zone on Tuesday.

They were taken into custody by police as they crossed the restricted zone while heading towards District Administration Office, Babarmahal.

They were demonstrating in the restricted zone in Baneshwor demanding the unconditional release of the Nepal Student cadres who were arrested for their alleged involvement in torching a government vehicle in Pokhara on Saturday.

A public offense case has been filed against a three detained cadres of NSU for setting the vehicle on fire by the District Administration Office, Kaski.
