Sanepa: Truck van collision leaves 2 dead, one critically injured

Two people have died while a third person is battling for life after a truck and a van met with an accident on Friday. The accident occurred at Ring Road, Sanepa around 10:30 a.m.

The two deceased are van driver Indra Bahadur Rai (40) of Dolakha, co-passenger Dolma Sherpa (40) of Dhanusha. They succumbed to their injuries at nearby Alka Hospital. A third passenger, an 18 year old Smriti Magar is currently undergoing treatment at Mediciti – her situation is said to be critical too. The truck driver, unharmed, is said to have fled the site of accident.

The accident happened after a Janak Education Material Centre (Janak Shikshya Samagri Kendra) owned truck (Na 1 Gha 533) hit a pick-up van (Ba 7 Cha 2131) ferrying vegetables.
