Nepal and Vietnam sign agreements to enhance bilateral relations and trade

Nepal and Vietnam have singed various agreements to promote trade and enhance bilateral cooperation in various sectors between two nations.

The agreements were signed in the presence of the Prime Ministers of Nepal and Vietnam at the Presidential Palace on Saturday on PM KP Sharma Oli’s official visit to Vietnam since.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism between Nepal and Vietnam as well as agreement on exemption to visa to diplomat and official passport holders have been signed.

Shankar Das Bairagi, Secretary at Ministry of foreign Affairs of Nepal and representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Ngyen Quoc Dung singed the agreements.

Likewise, Secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Kedar Bahadur Adhikari and Deputy Minister of Industry of Vietnam, Dang Aoang An also singed a letter of intent on negotiation on trade and investment framework agreement.

PM KP Sharma Oli left the country on Thursday for his official visits to Vietnam and Cambodia. He is in Vietnam since May 9. He will leave for Cambodia on May 13.
